Miranda Hanson

Project Manager

 

Miranda Hanson (she/her) serves as a Project Manager with the Institutional Giving team. She has led institutional fundraising efforts at nonprofits ranging from local arts centers with budgets under $1M, to national service organizations with budgets over $11M, partnering with theaters, museums, universities, music schools, artists, foundations, and advocacy groups. She is passionate about helping organizations pursue their mission sustainably and equitably, and approaches her work with dedication, integrity, and creativity.

Miranda enjoys collaborating with each client to meet their unique fundraising needs. Her work typically encompasses grant writing, strategy development, prospect research, systems building, and staff training. In her time at Advance NYC, Miranda has secured six and seven-figure grants that have sustained nonprofit’s annual operations, launched new initiatives, bolstered endowments, furthered capital campaigns, and directly served thousands of constituents. 

Miranda earned her BA in Comparative Literature from Williams College, graduating with magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa distinctions. Away from her desk, she can be found rocking dance floors, hiking mountains, or ears-deep in a fantasy or sci-fiction novel.
