Project Associate
Lee Boomer (she/her) assists Advance NYC’s clients as a Project Associate and provides administrative support to the Institutional Giving Team. In this role, Lee undertakes research and prepares materials for Advance NYC’s nonprofit partners; she also develops and implements systems to support operations within the Institutional Giving team. Prior to joining Advance NYC, Lee worked in New York City’s museum sector where she managed education projects. Her responsibilities included overseeing digital curriculum projects, developing content for education programs, supporting grant administration, and managing partnerships. Lee has experience with project management, grant management, grant proposals, stakeholder relationships, and special events. She is passionate about supporting organizations that provide arts access and social services to communities and she loves creating systems that bolster the ability of organizations to carry out their missions.
Lee holds a BA in History with a minor in Anthropology from Macalester College and an MA in Social Sciences from the University of Chicago. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, visiting museums, and attending as many performances in public parks as she can.
