Emily Cribbins (she/her) joined Advance NYC in 2020 and is a Project Associate on the Institutional Giving Team. She specializes in government and foundation fundraising, providing support with institutional prospecting, grant writing, submissions, grant calendar management, and more. During her time at Advance NYC, she has worked with more than 20 organizations, helping them achieve their institutional fundraising objectives and creating new systems to support them. 

Previously, Emily worked as a Development Assistant at The Playwrights Realm and the Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM), where she gained experience in all aspects of development, including but not limited to grants management, individual giving campaigns, gift processing, and special events. Her experience demonstrates her ability to navigate organizations' diverse fundraising and administration needs, from small to large. Emily holds a BFA in Acting from Syracuse University. 

Drawing on her theater background, Emily is a passionate advocate for the arts, believing in its power to build meaningful connections within communities and in the importance of a diverse artistic nonprofit landscape. Outside work, Emily enjoys reading fantasy novels, playing board games, exploring the Catskills, and spending quality time with her two dogs, Lucy and Duke.
