Emma Halpern (she/her) has been an Institutional Project Manager at Advance NYC since 2021. She has collaborated with a wide range of arts organizations during that time, managing their institutional giving strategy, drafting compelling proposal language, and helping them to cultivate and maintain funder relationships. Emma is passionate about helping her clients communicate their impact to stakeholders and about making substantial contributions to the arts and culture sector through her work at Advance.
A versatile arts professional, Emma previously served as Co-Artistic Director of New York City Children’s Theater and has written over 30 articles for American Theater. She has a BA in English from Rutgers University and an MFA in Dramaturgy from Brooklyn College. When Emma’s not working, you can find her visiting museums, going to barre class, or taking any excuse to make an itinerary or consult a map.
